Junya North Face

Junya Watanabe the king of collaboration has hit the collaborating jackpot once again with this incredible North Face vest. Typical Wantanabe finished with premium leather yoke and asymmetrical zipper pockets. Junya Watanabe is so great at expressing both companies in collaboration.

Dixon

The Black Sense Market

For Sense Magazines ninth anniversary they've decided to put out a collection of clothes made in collaboration with Visvim, Yves Saint Laurent, Tenderloin, Bedwin, Foot The Coacher, Mastermind Japan, and Mountain Research. The project which came out a while ago at Contemporary Fix is one of my favorite releases of the year, in particular the Visvim boots and Tenderloin Jackets. However I don't understand why now every japanese company or magazine seems to no longer use Japanese models for lookbooks, or shoots.

P.S. Styling kinda sucks.

Dan Flavin at Zwirner Gallery

On Saturday me and my dad went to check out the Dan Flavin show at Zwirner gallery. The show is mesmerizing and cool, I recommend it to anyone. At the time Dan Flavin did the pieces he had to become a member of the electricians union because he was the first person to think of using electric lights as art. It's amazing to think now how many artists have used fluorescent light.

WTAPS Looks Gentleman but Rude

Warp Magazine ran a story in their current issue on the latest Wtaps line. The story which was styled by people from the company shows that although WTAPS has sort of ditched their original aesthetic they can still make really nice clothes.

Halloween Costume

This year I was being really lazy about my halloween costume. Normally I get it all prepared in hopes of maybe having the best costume. Patrick talked to me and told me we should be Mario and Luigi, which seemed like a great idea. Walking around the streets we saw a ton of other Mario and Luigi's but none quite as cool as ours, we were the real deal, not a store bought phony.
